Trip Rewind: Ireland 2023: Ireland with Our Travel Tribe A Journey Through Magic and Memory

There’s something incredibly special about Ireland—and even more so when experienced with our Travel Tribe. This wasn’t just a vacation. It was a shared story unfolding across castles, coastlines, and cobblestone streets.

From the moment we landed in Dublin, the magic began. The sun rose over the River Liffey as we stepped into the legendary Gresham Hotel, where the ghosts of rock stars and writers seemed to whisper from the walls. We sipped Irish coffees, wandered through literary history, and toasted to new beginnings with hearty dinners and even heartier laughter at a local house party.

As the days rolled on, so did the stories. We biked through Phoenix Park, traced the tale of Guinness from grain to glass, and dined riverside near Trinity College under Michelin-starred care. We explored Kilkenny’s storybook alleys, admired the crystal brilliance of Waterford, and marveled at the craftsmanship that’s shaped centuries.

Blarney Castle dared us to climb and kiss—and we did. The Irish countryside opened before us, every mile more stunning than the last. Jaunty car rides through Killarney National Park made us feel like characters in a novel, while traditional music filled our evenings with rhythm and joy.

Then came the Ring of Kerry. Windswept views. Ogham stones. Peat bogs and postcard-perfect stops. We paused often—not just for the views, but to soak in the serenity of a place that felt timeless. The Cliffs of Moher took our breath away (literally and spiritually). Standing at the edge of the world, looking out into endless Atlantic blue—it’s a moment none of us will forget.

Of course, there was a castle banquet (with our own Lord and Lady of the night), a lamb-holding, sheepdog-cheering, whiskey-sipping farm visit, and more shopping in Galway than we care to admit. We even had a limerick contest on the bus ride home. Deanna’s won. She’ll tell you why.

But the real magic? It wasn’t just in the places. It was in the people. In this group. In the way we cared for one another, laughed together, explored side by side, and created memories only we’ll fully understand.

Ireland gave us its best—and we gave it ours right back.

Until the next adventure…

Sláinte! — George & Deanna
